The School Driver plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and dependable transportation of individuals within the school environment. This position is primarily focused on efficiently and securely transporting staff, students, and visitors to and from various destinations as required by the school.

- Possession of a valid driver's licence appropriate for the class of vehicle. - Proven safe driving record, free from any traffic violations for at least the last 5 years. - Official driver experience, with supporting references from previous employers highlighting behaviour, driving and navigation skills. - Knowledge of how to actively maintain vehicles and basic mechanical skills. - Excellent knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations. - Knowledge and experience in route planning and scheduling. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including basic English language. - Non-smoker. Smart turnout and appearance with good personal hygiene. - Polite, courteous and a helpful demeanour. - Demonstrated professionalism and conduct with a commitment to prioritising passenger safety and well-being. - Prior school or educational institution driver experience, understanding the dynamics of transporting students and staff, i.e. both adults and children. - First aid and CPR certification for effective emergency response. - Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance such as routine mechanical and tyre pressure and tread checks and subsequent timely reporting of the vehicle’s condition .
